Josephine Gill (Lara Joy Körner) has moved into a beautiful villa on the Müritz with her six-year-old son Gabriel and her motherly friend Edith (Claudia Rieschel) and is about to open her restaurant “Seerose”. Her husband, the famous Michelin-starred chef Johann Gill, who died in a motorcycle accident a year earlier, had bought the old estate on the lake as a vacation home for his family. Josephine has lovingly renovated the house in order to build a new life here. But already on the opening night, the new existence seems to be threatened. But Josephine can count on the help of the patent Edith and the mayor’s wife (Diana Körner). And there is also Severin (Heiko Ruprecht), who helps little Gabriel overcome the loss of his father.

“Seerosensommer” is produced by Network Movie Film- und Fernsehproduktion Köln, Silke Pützer and Wolfgang Cimera. The editorial office at ZDF is headed by Rita Nasser. Further filming locations are in Potsdam and the surrounding area. A broadcast date has not yet been set.
