Katie Fforde: A Part of You

Vivien Barner (Aglaia Szyszkowitz) is close to reaching her goal. An anonymous organ donor has agreed to donate her life-saving kidney. But just minutes before the procedure, she learns that he has backed out. She is devastated. But giving up is not an option for her. Encouraged by Walter (Dietrich Hollinderbäumer), a fatherly friend on dialysis, Vivien decides to find out who the donor is and why he changed his mind. Soon she is able to track down the successful author Thomas Shield (Tim Bergmann) and, thanks to a misunderstanding, puts him under a well-disguised microscope. When the young gardener Carl (Alexander Milo), who seems fascinated by Vivien, offers her more than just support, she is flattered, but cannot return his feelings. Because, unfortunately, she herself is well on her way to falling in love with the one person she really wanted nothing to do with: Thomas Shield. But the two eventually grow closer and it seems like they might actually have a chance, until Thomas learns the real reason for Vivien’s sudden appearance….
