Susan (Carolina Vera) has just moved from New York to Woodstock with her husband Richard (Thomas Heinze) and son Jimi (Maurice Walter). Her husband will take over his own practice in the small town in the hope that the family will then have more time for each other again. But shortly after her arrival there, Susan makes a discovery that pulls the rug out from under her: Lucas (Siegfried Terpoorten), a successful photographer and the biological father of her child, is not only in town, he is even temporarily working at Jimi’s school. Desperate to protect her family, Susan tries to keep her secret. But she is also plagued by a guilty conscience: Did she make a grave mistake back then by not looking for Lucas? What will a confession mean for her marriage? And will Jimi condemn her for her lie, or will he and his father understand her actions after all? As Lucas realizes who exactly the boy who seems so much like him is, the noose tightens for Susan. She wants so badly to tell her family the truth, but by then it already seems too late.
