Sister Betty is caught up in shadows of the past and faces a difficult emotional decision. But it is not only the mother-daughter relationship that causes her to waver. In Betty’s private life, relationship and future issues are looming that will not remain without consequences.

The new season of “Betty’s Diagnosis” follows the ward nurse and her team through the daily routine of the admissions ward at the Karlsklinik in Aachen. Not only is there professional turbulence, but private entanglements once again challenge the nurses and caregivers, as well as the team of doctors, in a highly emotional way.

Betty must react to the sudden appearance of her birth mother. Is the score too deep or is there a chance for reconciliation and forgetting the old story?

With the help of Prof. Dr. Alexander von Arnstett, Dr. Stern cranks up his career. In the process, he forgets to include Betty in essential questions, which is not without consequences.

Dr. Koopmann keeps his sights set on his goal: becoming chief physician, no matter what obstacles are thrown in his path. A severe stroke of fate plays into his hands, but is that already his professional ace of clubs?

Nurse Rike is astonished to discover that she is over the separation of her ex-husband and is once again open to other men. But the man who now enters her focus, even she would not have expected.

Sister Ava’s final exam is coming up, will she conquer her exam anxiety this time?

Mechthild Puhl has her staff under control, or so she thinks. But nurse Lukas is hit hard when a secret between him and Betty is revealed and Mechthild is now faced with a momentous decision. In her private life, too, Mechthild has to face up to her past, which is not easy for her and opens up old wounds.

A stroke of fate surprises Dr. Helena von Arnstett and Prof. Dr. Alexander von Arnstett. The siblings have to make decisions that are not always easy and have consequences.

Safi and barkeeper Ron Berger take care of the physical well-being with the kiosk car in the park of the Karlsklinik and the pub King Karl. Both always have an open ear for the concerns of the patients, the nursing staff and the doctors.

Not only the family turbulence is to play a role in the eighth season. Of course, there will also be no shortage of unusual or everyday cases of illness, which the ward staff will deal with professionally and empathetically. They promise drama, suspense and always a dose of humor.
