Anna Loos investigates again in Hamburg: The murder of a medical student demands Helen Dorn’s full commitment in DIE LETZTE RETTUNG.
“Home game” for Hamburg director Friedemann Fromm, who directed two films for HELEN DORN for the first time in 2020 – and will be shooting two more of the successful Saturday crime series starting in August 2021
After a colleague shoots himself in front of her during a mission, Helen Dorn (Anna Loos) is confronted with her feelings of guilt and the silent accusations of her colleagues, above all chief detective Tayfun Murat (Denis Moschitto). At the same time, she has to solve the murder of the young medical student Valerie. Her investigations lead the detective to the oncology ward of a Hamburg clinic and soon uncover the victim’s secret double life: The young woman worked as a self-employed escort lady alongside her studies. Her partner Adrian Jessen (Florian Stetter) quickly becomes the target of the investigators. But then the head physician of the oncology ward, Dr. Henning Boll (Sebastian Rudolph), is kidnapped, and soon it is no longer clear who is the victim and who is the perpetrator. When clues surface that deaths have been inexplicably piling up at the clinic lately, Helen knows she’s on to something bigger.
