Hasn’t every woman ever wondered whether it wouldn’t be best to send all men to the desert and simply marry her best friend?

Single hotel owner Paula (Henriette Richter-Röhl) and her impulsive friend Emily (Nadja Bobyleva) have always been able to rely on each other. When Emily catches her fiancé Frank (Nicholas Reinke) with someone else a few days before the wedding and Paula realizes after a doctor’s visit that no one will be there for her daughter Lucy (Momo Beier) in an emergency, the two spontaneously order the posse in a two-girlfriends-against-the-rest-of-the-world moment. Not everyone around them reacts positively to the wedding bells ringing; Frank, in particular, can’t come to terms with the fact that Emily won’t give him a second chance. Emily’s parents Linda (Petra Zieser) and Douglas (Hanns Zischler), on the other hand, consider themselves incredibly tolerant, but are they really as liberal as they claim to be? When Paula finally reveals a secret to Emily, the emotional chaos is perfect….
