Criminals, dress warmly:
Chief Inspector Martin Stolberg investigates for the 50th time in his Düsseldorf territory.
ZDF will show four new cases of the old-school detective from Saturday, January 12, 2013, 9:45 pm. Rudolf Kowalski will be joined in the title role by Wanja Mues as Inspector Nico Schreiber, Jasmin Schwiers as Inspector Svenja Landau, and Eva Scheurer as forensic pathologist Dr. Hannah Voskort.
In the opening episode, “The Prodigal Son,” patrolmen find a disturbed-looking boy in the middle of the night, his clothes soaked in blood. He barely responds to the police officers’ questions. It is difficult for Stolberg to clarify his identity. During the search for Arnd Kessler, the boy’s father, a terrible sight awaits the police officers: They find him in a huge pool of blood in a hotel room. The man has been stabbed to death.
On Saturday, January 26, 2013, 9:45 p.m., the episode “Heaven and Hell” is about the sudden death of ex-prostitute Severine. She is involved with inspector Nico Schreiber, but he wants to finally draw a line under this unhappy relationship. When she calls him one night because her little daughter Fanny is home alone, he drives to her place and picks up the girl. The next morning he finds Severine dead in her apartment – by all appearances dead from a heroin overdose.
In “The Frankenberg Protocols” on Saturday, February 9, 2013, 9:45 p.m., Stolberg is confronted with the atrocities committed during the Balkan War in the 1990s, in which the renowned chief physician of a German private clinic was probably also involved.
In the 50th episode of the series in total, “Nahkampf,” commissioners Stolberg, Schreiber and Landau will investigate their own ranks on Saturday, March 2, 2013, 9:45 pm. Increasingly, investigative successes are thwarted in relation to a white slave ring. There seems to be a mole in the ranks of the LKA. In the search for the leak, Stolberg himself gets caught in the crossfire.
The new episodes were directed by Martin Eigler, Michael Schneider and Peter Payer. The scripts were written by Martin Eigler, Jörg von Schlebrügge and Clemens Murath as well as Sven Poser & Denise Schöwing. Guest stars include Alina Levshin, Suzanne von Borsody, Anna Thalbach, Marcus Mittermeier, Nadja Bobyleva, Branko Samarovski, Simon Schwarz and Tilo Prückner.
“Kommissar Stolberg” was produced by Network Movie Film- und Fernsehproduktion, Cologne. Producers are Wolfgang Cimera and Bettina Wente, producer is Nina Güde. Sabine Groß is the ZDF editor.
