Welcome to the Karlsklinik, welcome to “Betty’s Diagnosis,” the somewhat different hospital series. Here, the focus is not on the doctors, but on those without whom things would not work in real life: the nursing staff.
We accompany nurse Betty and her colleagues Hanna, Talula and Ava through the stressful, emotional, but also fulfilling daily hospital routine and hope, fear, curse, love and suffer with them every week anew. Since the four nurses are not only colleagues, but also friends, it’s not easy to distinguish between their professional and private lives….. When the man Betty knows from the past, who still doesn’t seem to let go of her, becomes more important to Hanna, problems are inevitable. But Betty still successfully resists her feelings for Dr. Frank Stern. She tries by all means to save her marriage with Oliver, which has fallen into disarray after their son Yannik moves out. Will Betty succeed? Will her friendship with Hanna withstand this challenge? And how should she face Dr. Stern? Nurse Betty wouldn’t be Nurse Betty if she couldn’t face Dr. Stern in an absolutely professional manner in her daily work. Or so she thinks. But these are not the only emotional turbulences that announce themselves at Karlsklinik. Dr. Lewandowski is increasingly attracted to the mother of his child. But how is he supposed to get close to Talula? And what is Josephine, who is eerily interested in him, up to? And Dr. Helena von Arnstett? Can she manage the balancing act between absolute medical excellence and her deficits in collegial interaction with the ward staff?
