“Seeking suitable wives for three loving men. Age and appearance do not matter. With pleasure animal-loving. Letters under Chiffre…” Four friends take this newspaper ad as an opportunity to set out for Schleswig Holstein and give their lives a decisive turn. Petra (Ulrike Kriener), who actually only wanted to be the matchmaker, has to deal with village pastor Hans-Uwe (Peter-Heinrich Brix). He owes her the “matchmaking commission” that she desperately needs. Until the women find happiness, many a peasant must be cracked, life plans examined and homesickness overcome.

The script by Georg Weber was developed especially for the two actors Ulrike Kriener and Peter Heinrich Brix and again gives Ulrike Kriener the opportunity to show her great comedic talent.
