After the mysterious death of her friend Roos, Leonie Krüger (Mariele Millowitsch) becomes the sole heir to a not inconsiderable fortune. The inheritance is tied to one condition: Leonie must take care of Roos’ cats in the future. She moves into her friend’s apartment and has to discover that Roos apparently led a dazzling double life of which she knew nothing. Together with building contractor Fred Wenger (Jürgen Vogel), Leonie begins to investigate. Fred is certain that Roos was murdered.
Walter Weber, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Charles Lewinsky, directed a gripping crime thriller that uses a good dash of macabre humor to perfectly adapt the suspenseful, whimsical story by Dutch author Maarten ‘t Hart. 7.54 million viewers watched the gripping thriller starring Mariele Millowitsch and Jürgen Vogel.
