A melancholy Christmas comedy for the whole family with Ursula Karven, Marek Erhardt and Nick Julius Schuck.
All of New York is caught up in the Christmas magic, and the new Christmas hit “That Time of Year” by pop star Peggy Bloom (Elena Uhlig) is playing on the radio. Only one is in a hurry to escape the hype: Lawyer Alicia Charles is in a cab with her boyfriend John Stirling on their way to Grand Central Station – full of anticipation for a romantic ski vacation. But Will Hillinger throws a wrench in Alicia’s plans: the foster father of the minor heir Linus Shawn, whose asset manager Alicia acts as, has been arrested. Will is alleged to have committed a burglary, plus $100,000 has disappeared from the orphan’s account! Alicia lets the disappointed John go to assist Linus and his more than headstrong guardian.
