Furniture store operator Johnny de Groot is at his peak – both professionally and sexually. Suddenly he feels a twinge in his chest and collapses lifeless under the prostitute Zora. She panics and presses the alarm button next to her bed. Immediately the pimps Angelo and Claude rush over and are pissed off: How often should they tell the girls: the button is there because it is required by law.
because it is required by law, but it is not pressed. Because that calls the cops on the plan and leads in any case to loss of earnings. While they are still talking, they cram Johnny into his clothes and maneuver him down the stairs. But before they can get through the door with the body, the Criminal Investigation Service enters the brothel. What to do. The pimps park Johnny at the bar and guide Erichsen and Elias past the john. Only when Johnny’s wife Anita comes to the police station the next evening to report her husband missing does the penny drop for Erichsen: It was the man from the brothel!
Meanwhile, Angelo and Claude have dragged Johnny’s body into the woods and dug a grave, when de Groot comes to. A little confused, but in good health, the dead man gets up and wants to escape – not without calling the men with their shovels bad names. Bad Idea! Angelo and Claude irritate no one with impunity. They make use of their garden tools and have not dug the grave in vain after all. Back at the brothel, however, they are already awaited by Erichsen and Elias, who inquire about Johnny’s whereabouts. The gangsters Attila and Roda are also looking for Johnny. He owes them a large sum of money, which they want to collect together. The fact that Johnny has disappeared is of little concern to them. So Anita has to vouch for him.
The other roles are played by prominent stars such as Natalia Wörner, Frederick Lau, Murathan Muslu, Almila Bagriacik, Roland Koch, Kida Khodr Ramadan, Gustav Peter Wöhler, Albrecht Ganskopf and others.
