A dead boy is found not far from the coast in the mudflats of the North Sea. The victim was knocked unconscious and then placed in the mudflats tied by his legs and hands. The teenager was still alive when the tide came in and drowned him. Because of the similarity to a case in Hamburg last year, Hamburg detective Erik Nielsen (Lars Mikkelsen) is called in to assist in the search for a suspected serial killer. Jana and Erik become closer during the investigation, and Jana then receives a series of mysterious phone calls with the melody of a children’s song. When she realizes that the melody is a clue to another murder case, toy dealer Kroll (Peter Kurth) comes under suspicion and Jana is in danger.

In addition to Natalia Wörner, Martin Brambach, Ralph Herforth and Max von Pufendorf play the team around the inspector. Other roles are played by “Kommissarin Lund” star Lars Mikkelsen, Helene Egelund (“Kommissarin Lund” and “The Protectors”), Anna Maria Mühe, Erhan Emre, Constantin von Jascheroff, Margarita Broich and others.

The screenplay was written by the young Berlin actress Zora Holt, who presents her remarkably strong, stylish and exciting debut as a screenwriter with this book. The “TV Movie of the Week” is a production of Network Movie, Hamburg. Producers: Jutta Lieck-Klenke, Dietrich Kluge. Daniel Blum is the editor at ZDF.
