UP, UP

“UP, UP” – Shooting of new Berlin web series for rbb has started.

With the help of a smart programmer, three almost grown men want to develop an app in just four days in order to win the rent for their shared apartment at a start-up pitch.

The idea is to enable people to swap their lives with another person using the app. Under time pressure, they test their app on themselves and come up against their own limits in the other person’s everyday life.

Sina Tkotsch, Ferdinand Hofer, Thiago Jakob de Braga and Maximilian Allgeier play the main roles in the colorful urban Berlin web series.

As creative director, so-called showrunner (director, head writer), Maximilian Allgeier works closely with the executive director Linus Joos. They also penned the final screenplay, the basis of which was previously developed in the Writers Room principle together with students from the Film University Babelsberg Konrad Wolf.

Producers and creators are Jonathan Steinhardt and Maximilian Allgeier. In the Writers Room, Anisha Cornips, Christoph A. Klimke, Sabrina Maria Stockner and Adrian Mikkat wrote.

“UP, UP” is a Worldrooms Film production in co-production with Network Movie Hamburg, Filmuniversität Babelsberg Konrad Wolf and Rundfunk Berlin-Brandenburg. The responsible editor at rbb is Verena Veihl.

Worldrooms Film UG is responsible for the financing and material development of the series. “UP, UP” is funded by Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg.

The series will be shown on Rundfunk Berlin-Brandenburg, probably from May 2021.
