The inspector and the sea – Iron wedding

Robert Anders (Walter Sittler) accompanies his close friend Emma Winarve (Frida Hallgren) to a family party – her grandparents are celebrating an “iron wedding”. The family idyll comes to an abrupt end when Emma’s aunt Elin (Susanne Barklund) shows up drunk and claims that Marit (Anki Larsson) is not Emma’s mother, but she is. The grandfather suffers a heart attack and dies a short time later. The next morning, Elin is also found dead. Everything points to suicide, but Inspector Anders switches from private to professional when he discovers discrepancies in the dead woman’s room. He starts investigating and comes across secrets in Emma’s family history that have been well-kept for years.

Directed by Anno Saul, who wrote both scripts together with Henriette Piper, the film once again stars Walter Sittler and a prominent ensemble of German and Scandinavian actors such as Frida Hallgren (“Wie im Himmel”), Sólveig Arnarsdóttir (“Das Duo”), Inger Nilsson (“Pippi Langstrumpf”), Andy Gätjen and many more.
