A pastor’s daughter and her deadly secret

In the ninth case “Laila”, Inspector Anders (Walter Sittler) and his team discover the body of the 19-year-old adopted daughter Laila (Ndey Njie) in the burned-down vacation home of the Lindvall pastor’s family. The young woman has been murdered. Robert Anders and his colleagues find out that Laila has been supplementing her pocket money as a prostitute. Her pimp and a suitor in love are suspected of the crime. But the Lindvalls’ family idyll also seems deceptive. Intensive research among family and friends leads to the horrific suspicion that another terrible drama is hiding behind Laila’s death.

Directed by Anno Saul, who wrote both scripts together with Henriette Piper, the film once again features Walter Sittler and a prominent ensemble of German and Scandinavian actors such as Sólveig Arnarsdóttir (“The Duo”), Inger Nilsson (“Pippi Longstocking”), Andy Gätjen and many more.
