The Commissioner and the Sea – Summertime

The death of blaster Morgan Larsson (Örjan Landström) is mysterious. Anders (Walter Sittler) finds out that the dead man and his friend Per Bovide (Shanti Roney) were dealing in morphine. When Bovide is also murdered, investigators focus on the victims’ pasts. There is no peace in the commissioner’s personal life either. After the death of his father, his mother (Nicole Heesters) shows up after 30 years and keeps the whole family on their toes.

The crime series “The Commissioner and the Sea” is adapted from novels by bestselling Swedish author Mari Jungstedt. Directed by Anno Saul, the film stars Walter Sittler and a prominent ensemble of Scandinavian and German actors including Peter Haber (“Beck”), Sólveig Arnarsdóttir (“The Duo”), Paprika Steen (“The Feast”), Frida Hallgren (“As in Heaven”), Inger Nilsson (“Pippi Longstocking”), Nicole Heesters (“Tatort”), Jacob Nordenson (“The Return of the Dancing Teacher”) and many more.
