Circumstantial evidence suggests that prominent presenter and journalist Karl Kress (Ulrich Tukur) has something to do with a dead body found on the North Sea beach. Husum detective Nora Jaspers (Anja Kling) travels to Berlin to take up the investigation against him. But the colleagues of the LKA take over the case. When Nora tries to interrogate Kress on her own, she narrowly manages to prevent an attempt on his life.
