Antonia (Marion Kracht) wants to expand the alternative medicine areas in the clinic and is about to open her yoga studio for pregnant women – much to the displeasure of Ansbach, the clinic’s board member, who is currently subjecting the hospital to a profitability audit and considers natural medicine counterproductive. Now, of all times, Dr. Hellmann (Michael Roll) finds himself in an almost hopeless situation: for the first time since the clinic’s existence, a patient dies after a Caesarean section. The head physician is accused of possible malpractice and is temporarily suspended from his duties. The management of the “Klinik am See” is temporarily taken over by senior physician Dr. Markus Leitner (Markus Böker). Thomas Hellmann is convinced that he has not made a mistake and tries to clarify the tragic events – with the support of Antonia and his adopted son Nahas (Luka Kumi). Next to the tragic circumstances in the clinic, the problems of Vroni (Christiane Blumhoff) and Karl (Werner Haindl) seem almost harmless-but they are nevertheless of considerable explosive force for their relationship. Shortly before their planned wedding, the bride gets cold feet. A difficult task for Helena (Julia Bremermann) and Dr. Leitner, who have been appointed as wedding planners by the fiancées.

“Love, Babies and a Heart’s Desire” will be filmed from July 29 to August 27, 2010 in Munich, at Lake Tegernsee and the surrounding area. Marion Kracht as midwife Antonia Hellmann and Michael Roll as her husband chief physician Dr. Thomas Hellmann of the “Klinik am See” are again in front of the camera in the leading roles. Ulrike Hamacher is once again directing. Iris Uhlenbruch and Bettina Börgerding wrote the script for the seventh film in the series “Love, Babies…”. The last episode, “Liebe, Babys und Familienglück,” aired on March 28, 2010, was watched by 5.46 million viewers (market share 14.7 percent).
Liebe, Babys und ein Herzenswunsch” is produced by Network Movie Film- und Fernsehproduktion Cologne on behalf of ZDF. The producers are Silke Pützer and Wolfgang Cimera. Rita Nasser is the ZDF editor.
