Special task forces storm the apartment of a dealer. One door down, Boris Gerg (Manuel Rubey) observes the action. He panics and flees after an exchange of gunfire. In his apartment, the investigators discover a dead body.
The murdered man was the managing director of an online dating agency. Investigations reveal that the company is reputable, and there are no clues to a possible motive in his private life either. Nina Petersen and her colleague Benjamin Lietz find photos of the agency’s customers at the crime scene. In another photo, Lietz recognizes a woman he once met. He had met her through the dating agency of the man who had been killed. Together with colleague Karl Hidde, Lietz wants to visit his date from back then, but when they arrive there, the investigators find the woman murdered. According to the agency’s data, the woman has also only met with one man: Boris Gerg! Under high pressure, the investigators try to find the killer to prevent him from committing any more murders.
