A mysterious murder without a body challenges Chief Inspector Clüver (Robert Atzorn) and his team (Julia Brendler, Oliver Wnuk). When Clüver falls in love with the main suspect, Bernadette (Annette Frier), his criminalistic instincts are thrown into disarray.
An anonymous caller contacts the Sylt police. She claims to have discovered the body of the missing sculptor Kipling in a pond. But when the police arrive, the body has disappeared. There is no sign of foul play.
The identity of the caller is soon determined. It is Alida Olariu, who works as an employee for the company “Sylter Glanz”. But she too suddenly disappeared without a trace. Is it an act of concealment and was she herself the victim of a crime? Or does someone simply want to fool the police?
Something makes the discovery of the body implausible: Kipling had capsized six months earlier with his sailing yacht off the Danish island of Römö. While Hinnerk and Ina investigate with their Danish colleagues on Römö, Clüver takes care of the first suspect: Kipling’s wife Bernadette. Did she kill her husband?
